A Mother Took The Stand Bestside Her Reenage Son, a student at Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island. He got caught running a red light on his way home from basketball practice and faced a violation.
ʙᴜᴛ ᴊᴜᴅɢᴇ ғʀᴀɴᴋ ᴄᴀᴘʀɪᴏ ᴏғ ᴄᴀᴜɢʜᴛ ɪɴ ᴘʀᴏᴠɪᴅᴇɴᴄᴇ realized he was much more interested in the teen’s post-high-school plans than his driving record. The conversation abruptly turned to the boy’s future.
“What do you plan to do when you get out? You’re looking at college, I hope,” Judge Caprio says to the young defendant in the video below. “At the end of the day, the college diploma is the important thing.”
The teen was obviously a good kid, so Judge Caprio decided to give him a break — but only on one condition.
